Spiced Swedish Meat Balls - Mrs. Martin Schow

Spiced Swedish Meat Balls

1 1/2 lbs each ground beef and pork
1 1/2 bread crumbs
3/4 cup milk
3 tsp salt
3/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp each nutmeg, allspice and age
3 tbsp minced onion

Soak bread crumbs well in milk. Combine with ground meat, seasonings, and onion. Form into 1 inch balls and brown in hot fat. Cover and cook slowly 1/2 hour  turning often. This may be used as meat loaf.
