Norwegian Suppe (Fruit Soup)
1 lb prunes
2 cups raisins
8 tbsp pearl tapioca (heaping)
1 lemon, juice and rind pieces
2 cups sugar
1 cup cooking wine
Soak dried fruits, tapioca, sugar, (wine) and lemon in enough water to cover, overnight. In morning, add 3 or more cups of water or enough to cook until soft and tapioca is clear. This may be served hot or cold. Large sago balls may be used instead of tapioca.
