Leverpasty (Liver Paste)
1 1/2 lbs liver (pork is best)
1 large onion
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup cream
3 tbsp flour
2 eggs
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp salt
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp allspice
1/2 salt pork
Grind raw liver and pork and onion 4 or 5 times. Make sauce of cream, milk, lour, and seasoning. When t has thickened and is still hot, stir n beaten eggs. Cool. Mix with meat mixture. Pour into greased loaf pans. Lay slices of bacon across top. Set the pan in a pan of hot water and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Cool and store in refrigerator. This is a delicious sandwich spread.
