Kringler - Mrs. Gust Stensland

Kringler

1 cup sugar
1 cup rich sour cream
1 cup sour milk or buttermilk
1 tsp soda*
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
about 4 cups flour

If commercial sour cream is used, add 1/2 stick of butter. Combine in order given. Add flour to make a stiff dough.
Take a small amount of dough and roll about the size of a pencil. Twist ends and join to the middle, so as to form a figure 8. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 400 deg. oven.
