Danish Pastry - Mrs. Arling Thompson

Danish Pastry

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1 tbsp cold water

Mix as for pie crust. Pat into to 2 long pieces 3 x 11 on cookie sheet.

Top mixture:

1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
3 eggs
almond or vanilla flavor

Bring water and butter to a rolling boil Add the flour and stir real well. Take off the heat and add the eggs, one at a time. Add the flavor. Spread over on pastry dough. Bake at 350 deg. for 40 to 50 min. until golden brown. Col and frost with confection sugar icing.
