Norwegian Meatballs - Ms. Hans Aleckson (Kjøttkaker)

Norwegian Meatballs


1 lb ground steak
1/4 lb fresh pork (ground)
1 egg
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 medium onion, minced
1/2 cup milk, scalded
salt and pepper
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp allspice
1/8 tsp ginger

Mix well, form into small balls. Brown well. Add water and simmer for about one hour. Make gravy and pour over meat balls in serving bowl.
