Danish Orange Bread with Raisins - Mrs. I. S. Enderson

Danish Orange Bread
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup raisins, ground
1 orange, ground
2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 cup buttermilk

Mix all together and bake in loaf pan 350 - 375 deg. for 30-35 minutes. Test. Makes 1 loaf.

Icing
juice of 1 orange
1/2 cup sugar
Mix well and gently spoon over bread before the last 5 minutes of baking.
