Norwegian Kringler - Mrs. Arling Thompson

Norwegian Kringler


1 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream (cultured) with 1 tsp baking soda stirred in
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 cups flour (no more)

Mix well. Chill before rolling out. Take a small amount at a time and roll to about the size of a pencil and make into figure 8. Bake in a very hot oven (400 - 425 deg.) and watch closely.
