My Mom's Hot German Potato Salad
Fry 2 trips bacon. Cut into small pieces. Remove all fat except 2 tbsp. Add 2 tbsp flour. Cook a minute or two. Add 1 cup water. Cook and stir until thick. Add 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tbsp vinegar,1 tsp salt. Stir in 3 to 4 cups diced cooked potatoes. Simmer a few minutes to blend flavors.
(Potatoes boiled with jackets on are especially good in this.)
