Danish Abelskiver - Mrs. George Vikingstad

Danish Abelskiver


6 eggs, separated
1 tsp sugar
1 cup milk
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups flour

Beat egg yolks well, add sugar and milk. Sift baking powder, salt, and flour and add to first mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff and add last.
Bake in Ableskiver pan on top of stove. Put grease, preferably margarine in each cup. When hot, put in batter. Turn with fork. These are delicious with any kind of jam.
